Ring Valve

For a great majority of compressor applications CPI ring type suction and discharge valves provide a good combination of both operating reliability and long service life for many general applications, with specific designs and materials for the more problematic applications. CPI ring type valves are manufactured to the highest quality, using either metallic and non-metallic ring components for compressors operating in a range of differing applications, both lubricated and non-lubricated. Achieving the optimum performance and reliability are key to most operators and CPI ring valves can deliver across the broad spectrum of applications and operating conditions required.

Ring Materials

CPI materials technology is utilized for non-metallic components, to maximize performance with specific materials developed for particular gases and applications, further enhancing compressor availability, reliability and economical operation. Metallic rings are manufactured using high quality metallic materials, for use where operating temperatures exceed those suitable for non-metallic materials.

Seats, Guards and Springs

The seats of CPI ring type valves are designed to accommodate varied requirements. For instance, a drilled seat design is available for use in applications where there are liquids in the gas stream, such as applications handling refinery gases. Positive ring guidance is an integral part of the guard to assure optimum positioning of rings on the seat, providing effective sealing. Spring materials vary depending on the metallic or non-metallic materials used for the rings and the application the valve will operate in.
