I
n addition to the manufacture and supply of components, CPI is committed to keeping compressors performing and maximizing operational availability. With this understanding and focus, CPI believes the supply of replacement parts is critical in achieving this. CPI is able to support operators around the clock; this also includes a comprehensive reconditioning service from many of our worldwide operations. This concept was conceived to satisfy specific customer demands who were successfullyoperating compressors using CPI radiused disc valves installed in off shore production platforms, FPSOs and facilities where no maintenance workshops are available.
Problem
Although the CPI valves provide very long run times (up to three years) between planned maintenance overhauls, the remoteness of compressors in these operating environments, the need for specialist skills and equipment to overhaul them presents significant problems for remote operations when reconditioning is necessary. These problems can only be solved by shipping the valves back to the relevant CPI facility or approved workshop for maintenance. This whole process can obviously be very costly and time consuming.
Solution
CPI Engineering Department has produced this new design which incorporates a replaceable metal seat plate within the existing radiused disc valve. This concept can also be applied to CPI Hi-Flo™ valves and easily used at compressor operations for maintenance.
